Ever since I committed to regular weight training and added in steady sessions on the stationary bike, something shifted in a big way. The impact on both my physical and mental well‑being has been tremendous. It’s not just about getting stronger or improving endurance — it’s the way this routine has grounded me, cleared my mind, and given me a sense of control over my day.
There’s something powerful about showing up for yourself consistently. The weights build your body, but the discipline builds your confidence. The cardio strengthens your heart, but it also quiets the noise in your head. Little by little, you start feeling more energized, more focused, and more capable in every part of your life.
This journey has reminded me that taking care of yourself isn’t selfish — it’s essential. When you invest in your health, everything else starts to rise with it. If you’ve been thinking about making a change, start small, stay consistent, and watch how quickly your body and mind respond. You’re stronger than you think, and the best version of you is built one workout at a time.

I just wanted to share a bit of my story for anyone out there wondering if getting a degree is still worth it.

I finished school while being married and raising a child. It wasn’t glamorous—far from it. There were long nights, early mornings, and more than a few moments where I questioned if I could really pull it off. On top of that, paying for school was a serious financial strain. Every semester felt like a gamble—on myself.

But I kept going.

And now, I’m on the other side. I’m actively looking for jobs in my field, and for the first time, I don’t have to rely on physically demanding work like most of my friends still do. That alone makes every sacrifice feel worth it.

If you’re in the thick of it—juggling family, bills, and coursework—just know that it does pay off. It’s not just about the degree. It’s about proving to yourself that you can do hard things. That you can build a better future, even when the odds aren’t in your favor.

Keep going. You’re not alone.
